Producing entrepreneurial citizens: Governmentality over and through Hong Kong influencers on <i>Xiaohongshu (Red)</i>

Building on Foucault's perspective of governmentality, this article focuses how influencers in Hong Kong China (HK) operate as agents/mediators governmentality and “governmentality” occurs over through lifestyle responsible, productive, self-disciplined citizen subjects the Chinese biggest sharing platform—Xiaohongshu (Red). By employing a collaboration walkthrough ethnographic methods, examines Red's influencer governance, intersecting both HK Mainland contexts, guides, trains, controls users to become relevant practices entrepreneurial citizenship, their followers act through, rely negotiate with governmental authoritative discourses.
